I bought a Nomadic daily backpack 3 years ago. When I came back to South Korea, the front side zipper was torn.
Thus, I sent an email to Nomatic Korea for service. However, they refused to fix it because I bought it in the US, not for them directly. I don't have any choice but to contact NOMATIC USA to fix my backpack.
대략 3년 전에 미국 California Duarte에서 살 때 NOMATIC Daily Backpack을 구매하였다. 그리고 2022년 한국으로 돌아온 뒤 지퍼가 망가져서 한국 NOMATIC Korea에 연락을 하였더니, 자기네 지사에서 산 제품만 영수증을 제시하여야 1년만 해준다는 답변을 받았다. 그러니 병행수입이면 구매한 쪽으로 알아보라는 이야기를 받았다.
Since Nomatic Korea said only 1 year warranty period, I thought the significant difference between the warranty period in the Nomatic US and Nomatic Korea's. I then found the below picture. Although Nomatic Korea offers 1 year warranty period, NOMATIC USA offers a Lifetime Warranty!!!
같은 제품 한국지사에서 답변에 의아했다. 이유는? 아래와 같이 Lifetime warranty 라고 알고 있었기 때문에 미국 지사로 연락! (타국 제품의 워런티 한국화.... 1년 워런티라니???)
Unfortunately, the URL has been forwarded continually to "nomatickorea.co.kr" whenever I try to access nomatic.com.
하지만 한국의 IP 로 NOMATIC.com을 접속하려고 하면 불 가 능! 어느 정도의 URL 은 전부 https://www.nomatickorea.co.kr/ 으로 웹페이지가 자동 이동되어 버린다.
There's always a way to solve whatever it is.
하지만 뭐든지 길은 있는 법!
I accessed the Amazon website and searched "nomatic backpack". And you can find the "Visit the NOMATIC Store"
든든한 아마존! 아마존에 접속해서 nomatic backpack을 검색하면 하단에 Visit the NOMATIC Store 가 나오고
Here we are~ Finally, I could have accessed the NOMATIC.com through Amazon website
클릭하게 되면 짜잔~~ 아래와 같이 아마존 내부를 통해서 접속이 된다.
I registered the product information on nomatic.com when I bought the Nomatic daily backpack. Therefore, it was extremely easy to claim to fix the front zipper
미국에 살때 NOMATIC.com으로 직접 주문을 했었기 때문에 제품도 등록되어 있고 해서 손쉽게 A/S를 위한 클레임을 신청할 수 있었다.
Then, I received the answer below.
아래와 같이 답변이 왔다.
However, I found there a glitch that I can't save my new address at the postal code part because of South Korea's postcode. Hence, I requested to update my address through email to Cam who works in the Customer Support Department.
하지만 A/S신청과정에서 주소가 한국 우편번호를 입력할 경우 저장이 안 되는 경우가 나타났고 이는 당연히 위의 이메일을 통해서 업데이트를 해달라고 요청을 별도로 하였다.
In spite of the time gap between South Korea and the U.S, Cam supported my request patiently and kindly
나름 두 국가사이의 시차에도 불구하고 끈기 있고 친절한 고객 서비스 상담사 Cam 덕분에 순조롭게 진행!
Then, I received the below email
그리고 아래와 같은 이메일을 받았다.
I was curious that how could send my backpack and receive it.
LIFETIME WARRANTY 라지만 해외배송상황이 되어버려서 어떻게 주고받기를 하게 될 것인가?? 란 의문 속에 받은 후속 이메일....
What an amazing lifetime warranty result! They would send a new backpack to South Korea without any cost.
SO Coooooooool~!
그냥 쿨내 진동할 정도로~ 고쳐주기보다는 그냥 새 제품을 국제우편으로 미국에서 한국 서울까지 백팩을 투척해줌...
I've checked the delivery service. It was amazing. It arrived at ICN on 2022/5/25 around 11 AM.
However, I received the product at 2:27 PM on that day. Super-Duper Fast!
(Actually, I received a message that the delivery will be late because of the logistics problem in the US.
But! I received it 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time)
2022/5/25 오전 11시쯤에 인천 국제공항에 들어왔다는데 오후 2시 27분에 받았다....... 겁나 빠르더라(사실 미국에서 유통문제로 인해서 늦어진다고 했으나 도착 예정일의 예정시간보다 3시간 일찍 받았다.)
Finally! (It seems to wet a little? during delivery)
그리고 드디어! (배송 도중 물에 좀 젖기도 하고 했었나 보더라...)
Of course, it was clean inside. Great package!

They said the backpack version has been upgraded entirely. Let's see what is different between the old version and the new one(V2)
사실 버전이 업그레이드되었다고 하지만 뭔 차이인지 여기서부터 알아보자.
Nomatic daily backpack can not only expand from 20L to 24L, but also lot's of available pockets(including RFID safe pocket) and provided glasses safe case.
노매 틱 데일리 백팩은 20L에서 24L로 확장도 될 뿐만 아니라 내부적으로도 많은 포켓과 다양한 기능(RFID Safe 포켓) 등 다양한 용도로 활용 가능하고, 안경 통도 기본적으로 있다.
The left one is a neatly used nomatic backpack for 3 years(although it has been scratched by branches of the small trees recently). According to NOMATIC.com, they changed the material and zippers even inside entirely.
왼쪽은 3년 동안 "깔끔하게" 사용하다가 최근에 나뭇가지에 무참히 긁히는 사태가 생겨서 스크래치가 좀 났다. NOMATIC에 따르면 스크래치를 덜 나게 전면적으로 소재를 바꿨으며, 지퍼랑 내부 또한 업그레이드했다고 한다.
There was an attached/detached pocket inside of the old version. However, it has been installed inside the V2 backpack. (I didn't attach the attached pocket by tiresome when I took this picture). And you can see the glasses case upper side of the left.
사실상 V2내부에 있는 포켓은 구버전에서는 찍찍이로 붙였다 떼었다가 할 수 있었으나 V2에는 아예 붙여놨더라(찍찍이는 떼서 사용하다가 보니 사진 찍을 때 귀찮아서 안 붙였음) 그리고 기본적으로 제공되는 안경 통의 경우 V2좌측 상단에 꼽혀있다.
It is impossible to pursue a lifetime warranty without 100% confidence in their products. And Nomatic Korea, a localized product reseller? offers only for 1-year warranty if you prove the product bought from them directly. What would you do?
If I were you, I would lovely buy the Nomatic daily backpack from Nomatic.com, Nomatic USA.
LIFETIME WARRANTY는 자기들 제품에 대한 자신이 없으면 절대 불가능한 방식이다. 그리고 한국화 된 NOMATIC KOREA의 경우에는 이를 A/S가 필요할 경우 자신들에게서 샀다는 영수증이나 증거가 필요하며 워런티가 1년으로 어마 무시하게 낮춰져 버렸다. 결국, 미국에서 사 올 경우에는 AS에 대한 희망을 갖지 말아야 된다. 그러면 당신은 어떻게 할 것인가? 나라면 당연히 미국에서 구매해오는 방안을 살펴볼 것이다.
Frankly speaking, it's too much difference between a lifetime warranty and a 1-year warranty.
사실 LifeTime Warranty Vs 1 year Warranty... 너무 심하게 차이가 나는게 아닌가싶다.
Furthermore, I am fully satisfied to use this Nomatic daily backpack. Hence, I think the more detailed explanations are unnecessary.
더욱이, 가방 사용에 대해서 전반적으로 대만족이다. 그래서 더 자세한 설명은 불필요하다고 생각되어 생략하였다.
